Constructed of bronze, with an integral suspension loop formerly accommodating a leather strap, the obverse bearing a central raised edelweiss, circumscribed by an inscription of GEB. JG. RGT. 100, the reverse bearing raised inscriptions featuring seven key theatres of combat in which Gebirgsjger Regiment 100 saw action, unmarked, measuring 46 mm (w) x 48 mm (h) when oriented in intended diamond
